for they are like dogs
sleeping in the feed bin.
They do not eat
nor do they allow the cattle to eat.

Devotion and paychecks
Hidden in plain sight wisdom
stays hidden from those
continuously constructing arguments
about the world’s needs
and their ordained appointment
to fix
